Puppy Wellness Packages

All puppies need to be examined and begin vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age. Vaccines are repeated every 3-4 weeks until they are 14-16 weeks of age. We also perform stool exams at each visit to ensure that the pet is free of disease causing intestinal parasites (which can also be a concern for human infection). We will discuss and begin monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

  • DHPP - Distemper/Hepatitis/Parvo/Parainfluenza Virus - Given 4 times during puppy series 3-4 weeks apart, Boosted at first annual then every 3 years until age 10 at which time it is discontinued
  • Rabies - one vaccination at final puppy visit then annually thereafter
  • Deworming - pyrantel/nemex at all but final puppy (minimum 2 treatments)
  • Bordetella - two vaccines at least 3 weeks apart to puppies who will frequent boarding or grooming facilities, dog parks, or come in contact with other dogs.
